Thank you for choosing to visit the wonderful State of Alaska. As long-time residents of Alaska, we will in every way try to help make your trip a successful one.

We are currently experiencing a significant amount of inquiries for reservations for summer 2022. At this time, we are evaluating our strategy for early reservations. Based on the experiences of 2021, (the major franchise rental companies categorically canceled early reservations based on lack of inventories and left many travelers stranded with unfulfilled reservations, rideshare platforms allowed their hosts to cancel reservations up to 24 hours prior to arrival with no enforcement by rideshare platform) Alaska Adventure Rental was successful guaranteeing every reservation with a required non-refundable $500.00 deposit. Keep in mind, that it takes a tremendous effort to guarantee you will be provided a vehicle upon arrival, regardless of circumstances for availability. Due to airline scheduling changes. We will work with our customers to adjust arrival and departure times based on availability at no additional charge. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

Upon your arrival, you will need to get a Taxi or Uber to our location at 3710 Spenard Road Anchorage, AK 99503, which is within 2 miles of the airport and near most of the airport hotels. (this saves you the 11% airport rental tax) or we can arrange a local pick up in the Anchorage area. We can return you to the airport for your departure.

• You must be 25 years of age and have a current, valid driver’s license. (we can also rent to younger drivers if you have a full coverage auto insurance policy in your name).
• We do require proof of liability insurance. If you do not have full coverage insurance, we can provide you with our collision damage waiver coverage at an additional charge.
• We include windshield and tire damage coverage for an additional $5.00 per day.
• You may reserve a vehicle by class but things do happen and we do have the right to substitute a similar or larger vehicle at no additional charge if the reserved vehicle is not available.
• We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express. We require a credit card to hold the reservation. Note that there is a 5% Credit Card Courtesy Fee. (can be waived if you pay with cash or check).
• We do have certain Road Restrictions and our vehicles are GPS equipped.  We do not permit driving on unpaved roads, Specifically the Dalton Highway north of Fairbanks and all roads in Canada ($500.00 penalty charge per day for the rental).   Travel on the Denali Highway and the McCarthy road can be done with prior authorization, we do charge a $200.00 fee for vehicle inspection and additional cleaning. Please advise us when you make the reservation/or pick up the vehicle for prior authorization.
• We do not refund early returns.
• Reservation change fees may apply for changes in arrival and departure times and dates that are made less than 30 days from arrival, depending upon availability.
• Mechanical Problems. Our vehicles are fully serviced and cared for. Should you have a problem en-route, Many times a simple fix is all that is required to get you on your way. There are extensive local services throughout Alaska and we will direct you to the quickest and most efficient provider to get you back on the road. We will cover any towing, parts, and labor needed, however, we will not cover any time lost nor any consequential losses. If we cannot get you back on the road in a reasonable time,(usually 3 to 4 hours) we will provide a replacement vehicle.   (usually within 6 to 8 hours) If you experience a breakdown due to lack of exercising ordinary care of our vehicle while being operated on any unpaved road, (this includes flat tires) you will be responsible for all costs and damages related to returning the vehicle to our location in Anchorage.
• All of our vehicles are nonsmoking. A $200.00 fee applies if you smoke in any of our cars.
